Why we exist
The advice market has a hole in the middle.
Every small business owner has been offered two versions of help.
The first is cheap and everywhere. Webinars, templates, marketplace advisers, a course from someone who has read more than they have run. It is affordable, it is usually correct in the abstract, and it almost never survives contact with your actual business — your margins, your two key employees, your one customer who is 30% of revenue.
The second is genuinely excellent. Real firms, real operators, real rigour. They are also built around a minimum engagement size that a twelve-person company cannot clear. That is not snobbery; it is arithmetic. Partner time, research support, multi-month scopes and a sales cycle to match all have to be paid for. Below a certain revenue line, the maths does not work for them — so the call does not get returned, and everyone politely pretends that was a fit problem rather than a pricing one.
Which leaves the businesses that need clear thinking most getting the least of it. At three to two hundred employees, one mispriced offer or one wrong senior hire changes the whole year. There is no bench to absorb it. That is exactly where good outside judgement pays for itself — and exactly where it is hardest to buy.
So in 2024 we built the thing that was missing: senior operators, cross-functional, working at small-business scale on a fixed fee, alongside your team rather than above it. No junior army. No 300-page deck. A 90-day plan with owners, dates and one metric per move.
The name is the method. Vision is knowing exactly what to build and why. Velocity is shipping it before the window closes. Most owners we meet are short of neither ideas nor effort — what is missing is the join between them. Vision sets the direction. Velocity closes the distance.
